Everything was checked, the gas feed, the regulator, and all of the gas lines and nothing seemed to be wrong so nothing got fixed. It wasn't until we went to sell the Coachmen to buy a larger RV that the problem surfaced once again, and this time the RV wasn't moving at all, which was new it had never done that before. So we switched from battery power to pluging the cord into the house current and it conked out again.
It had never given an indication that it was an electrical problem before until now. So we traced all of the wiring to a panel under the refrigerator and found wire wrapped connectors with one of the wraps loose. It was just tight enough to work most of the time, but now it was finally getting loose enough to allow us to find it. After tightening the connection the refrigerator worked properly regardless of the power source.
